About the Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta
Launched to celebrate Ferrari's 70th anniversary, the Aperta is the open-top variant of the LaFerrari hypercar. It retains the same F1-derived HY-KERS powertrain, pairing a high-revving naturally aspirated V12 with an electric motor for a combined 950 hp. Engineering changes were extensive to ensure the roadster matched the coupe's torsional rigidity and aerodynamic efficiency, including modified door rotation and cooling angles. With only 210 units produced—all sold before the public debut—it is significantly rarer and more valuable than its fixed-roof sibling.

Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta fun facts
- The 210th car was a one-off charity build auctioned for €8.3 million to benefit Save the Children, setting a record for a 21st-century car at the time.
- To maintain the coupe's aerodynamics, Ferrari added a small L-shaped flap to the top of each A-pillar to divert air over the cabin when the roof is removed.
- The Aperta's butterfly doors open at a slightly different angle than the coupe's to accommodate the lack of a fixed roof structure.
