About the Ferrari F50

Ferrari introduced the F50 in 1995 as an uncompromising successor to the F40. Its naturally aspirated V12 was derived from Ferrari’s Formula One engine programme and formed part of the car’s load-bearing structure. A six-speed manual, removable roof and minimal driver assistance made the experience deliberately mechanical. Only 349 production examples were built, and the familiar closed-roof appearance comes from fitting the detachable hardtop.
