About the Ferrari F40
Unveiled in 1987 to mark Ferrari's 40th anniversary, the F40 was the last model publicly presented with Enzo Ferrari in attendance. Its Pininfarina body used composite panels around a tubular chassis, while the mid-mounted twin-turbo V8 delivered explosive acceleration. Sparse trim, little sound insulation and demanding turbo response make it an unusually intense road car. Ferrari records 1,311 built before production ended in 1992.
