About the Ferrari 400 Superamerica
The 400 Superamerica was Ferrari's flagship grand tourer, designed for the world's wealthiest clients who demanded more power than the standard 250 series. It replaced the Lampredi-engined 410 Superamerica, introducing a 4.0-litre version of the legendary Colombo V12 engine. Most examples featured the distinctive 'Aerodinamico' coachwork by Pininfarina, characterized by its sleek, sloping fastback profile. As a bespoke machine, no two cars were identical, often featuring custom interior appointments and unique exterior details.
