About the Ferrari 308 GT4

The 308 GT4 was a landmark for Maranello, introducing the mid-mounted V8 configuration that would define the brand's volume models for decades. It broke tradition as the only production Ferrari designed by Marcello Gandini at Bertone rather than Pininfarina, resulting in a distinctive wedge-shaped profile. Originally launched under the 'Dino' brand to distinguish it from the V12 flagships, it was officially rebranded as a Ferrari in 1976. Despite its 2+2 seating layout, the GT4 is praised for its sharp handling and the mechanical symphony of its quad-cam engine fed by four Weber carburettors.
