About the Ferrari 195 Inter

Introduced at the 1950 Paris Motor Show, the 195 Inter was Ferrari's second dedicated road-going model, succeeding the 166 Inter. It featured a larger 2.3-litre version of Gioacchino Colombo's legendary V12 engine and a wheelbase stretched to 2,500 mm to provide more interior space for affluent clients. As was standard for the era, chassis were sent to various coachbuilders, with Vignale and Ghia producing the majority of the bodies. It represents a pivotal moment when Ferrari began balancing its racing dominance with the refinement required for a true grand tourer.
