About the Dodge Neon SRT-4
Developed by Chrysler's Performance Vehicle Operations (PVO), the SRT-4 was a purpose-built performance machine that transformed the humble Neon into a giant-killer. The 2004 model year introduced a crucial Quaife torque-sensing limited-slip differential and a power bump to 230 hp, though many examples were famously underrated from the factory. It was the second-fastest production vehicle in the Dodge lineup at the time, trailing only the Viper. Today, it is a cult classic valued for its raw, unrefined character and immense tuning potential via Mopar Stage kits.

Dodge Neon SRT-4 fun facts
- The SRT-4 does not have a muffler; instead, it uses two resonators to manage the exhaust note, giving it a signature gurgling and popping sound.
- At its launch, it was the fastest production car available for under $20,000 in the United States.
- The '4' in its name simply refers to the number of cylinders in the engine, a naming convention Dodge later applied to the SRT-8 and SRT-10.
