About the Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat WD
Launched as a single-year halo model for the WD-generation Durango, the SRT Hellcat brought Dodge's legendary supercharged Hemi V8 to the family SUV segment. It features a 2.38-litre twin-screw supercharger providing 11.6 psi of boost, paired with a heavy-duty TorqueFlite 8HP95 transmission and a performance-tuned all-wheel-drive system. Despite its 2.5-tonne kerb weight, it achieved a certified 11.5-second quarter-mile time, outperforming many dedicated sports cars. While originally planned for a 2,000-unit run, production was extended to 3,000 to meet overwhelming demand before emissions regulations briefly sidelined the powertrain.
