About the Bentley Continental GT Speed
Introduced in 2007, the GT Speed was the first high-performance evolution of the game-changing Continental GT. It featured a more potent version of the Volkswagen-derived W12 engine, producing 600 hp and a massive 750 Nm of torque, paired with a sharpened chassis and lowered suspension. Distinguishable by its dark-tinted matrix grille and wider rifled exhaust tips, the Speed offered a more focused driving experience without sacrificing the refinement of the standard car. It remains a significant milestone as the fastest production Bentley of its era, capable of 202 mph.

- To handle the increased power, the Speed featured a solid-mounted front subframe and uprated springs and dampers for improved body control.
- Despite weighing over 2.3 tonnes, the GT Speed could reach 60 mph in just 4.3 seconds, making it one of the fastest grand tourers in the world at launch.
