About the Daimler V8-250

The Daimler 2.5 V8 (renamed V8-250 in 1967) was the first Daimler model produced following Jaguar's acquisition of the marque. While it shared the iconic monocoque body of the Jaguar Mark 2, it was distinguished by Edward Turner's jewel-like 2.5-litre hemi-head V8 engine. This powerplant was lighter than Jaguar's XK straight-six, resulting in better weight distribution and a more nose-light, agile handling character. It was positioned as a more refined and exclusive executive choice, featuring the signature fluted grille and a more luxurious interior than its Jaguar siblings.
