About the Citroën Dyane

Introduced to bridge the gap between the 2CV and the Ami, the Dyane was Citroën's answer to the successful Renault 4. While it shared the 2CV's chassis and interconnected suspension, it featured a more modern, angular body designed by Panhard and a practical full-height hatchback. The Dyane 6 variant utilised the 602cc engine from the Ami 6, providing a modest but necessary power boost for highway travel. Despite its improved refinement and utility, it never quite eclipsed the 2CV in popularity, though it remains a charming and highly usable entry-point into French classic car ownership.
