About the Citroën DS3
Launched as the first model in Citroën's premium DS sub-brand, the DS3 was a direct challenge to the MINI, prioritising personalisation and avant-garde design. The DSport trim, powered by the 1.6-litre THP engine co-developed with BMW, serves as the range's warm-hatch sweet spot, offering a balance of punchy turbocharged torque and agile handling. Its distinctive 'shark fin' B-pillar and floating roof design helped it stand out in a crowded segment. While it shares a platform with the C3, the DS3 features a significantly stiffer suspension setup and a more driver-focused interior, making it a surprisingly engaging steer on B-roads.
