About the Abarth Grande Punto
Launched in 2007, the Abarth Grande Punto marked the official revival of the Abarth brand as a standalone entity under Fiat. It features a 1.4-litre T-Jet engine equipped with a fixed-geometry IHI turbocharger, producing 155 PS, which can be temporarily boosted via a 'Sport' button that increases torque from 206 Nm to 230 Nm. The chassis was significantly upgraded over the standard Fiat model, featuring a 6mm wider track, Brembo front brakes, and a lowered, stiffened suspension setup. Its distinctive aesthetic includes extended wheel arches, 17-inch wheels, and the iconic red Abarth side stripes, creating a more aggressive stance than its Fiat counterpart.
