About the Citroën DS Series 3
The DS was startlingly advanced on its 1955 debut, combining an aerodynamic body with hydropneumatic suspension and powered systems. The later Series 3 cars gained the restyled front end with covered directional headlamps; this 1968 DS21 uses the carburetted 2175 cc four-cylinder. It glides over poor roads and remains an exceptionally distinctive long-distance car. Hydraulic condition, rust and exact specification strongly affect collector appeal.
