About the Chevrolet Sail

The third-generation Chevrolet Sail, often referred to as the Sail 3, was developed by the SAIC-GM joint venture in China to serve as an affordable entry-level sedan for global emerging markets. Built on a new small-car architecture, it features a more refined design than its predecessors, including Chevrolet's signature dual-port grille and a significantly improved interior with a 9-inch touchscreen in higher trims. The 1.5-litre DVVT engine provides adequate performance for urban commuting, paired with either a manual or a four-speed automatic transmission. While primarily a budget-conscious vehicle, it gained popularity in Southeast Asia and Latin America for its reliability and low running costs.
