About the Cadillac XT5
Introduced for the 2017 model year, the Cadillac XT5 replaced the ageing SRX as the brand's primary mid-size crossover. It debuted the 'Crossover Touring' naming convention and utilized the new C1XX platform, which shed nearly 130kg compared to its predecessor. The 3.6-litre LGX V6 engine features cylinder deactivation and stop-start technology to improve efficiency without sacrificing the smooth power delivery expected of a Cadillac. While not a performance-oriented SUV, its crisp styling and high-quality interior materials helped it become Cadillac's best-selling global model shortly after launch.
