About the Cadillac Brougham
Introduced in 1987, the Cadillac Brougham was a rebranding of the rear-wheel-drive Fleetwood Brougham to distinguish it from the newer, downsized front-wheel-drive Fleetwood models. It retained the classic D-body platform, offering a traditional body-on-frame construction and a plush, isolated ride that defined American luxury for decades. The 1987 model featured the Oldsmobile-sourced 307 cubic-inch V8, prioritising smooth torque delivery over outright performance. As one of the final 'land yachts', it remains a favourite among collectors for its imposing scale, chrome-heavy styling, and 'd'Elegance' interior options.
