About the BMW M235i F22
Launched in 2014 as the flagship of the F22 2 Series range, the M235i was the first petrol-powered model from BMW's 'M Performance' sub-brand. It bridged the gap between the standard 228i and the full-fat M2, utilizing the N55 twin-scroll turbocharged engine to deliver smooth, linear power. Enthusiasts praised its compact dimensions and rear-wheel-drive balance, which recalled the classic E46 M3. While it lacked the flared arches and bespoke suspension of a true M car, its adaptive dampers and optional limited-slip differential made it a highly capable and refined daily driver.
