About the BMW M140i F20
The BMW M140i represents the final evolution of the rear-wheel-drive 1 Series, a layout that made it unique in the premium hatchback segment. Replacing the M135i in 2016, it introduced the B58 engine, which offered improved efficiency and a significant torque boost to 500Nm. Its combination of a short wheelbase and a powerful longitudinal straight-six engine provides a driving experience more akin to a traditional sports car than its front-wheel-drive rivals. While the interior received a modern iDrive update in 2017, the car's primary appeal remains its muscular powertrain and balanced chassis.
