About the BMW iX
The BMW iX xDrive50 arrived in 2021 as the brand's dedicated electric flagship, built on a bespoke aluminium spaceframe with a carbon-fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) 'Carbon Cage'. It features a massive 105.2 kWh usable battery pack and dual motors providing effortless all-wheel-drive performance. The interior marks a radical departure for BMW, adopting a lounge-like aesthetic with a curved display and sustainable materials like olive-leaf tanned leather. While its exterior styling proved polarizing, the iX is widely praised for its exceptional refinement, ride quality, and advanced driver assistance systems.
