About the Bentley T-Series
The Bentley T1, launched in 1965 alongside its sibling the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow, marked a radical departure for the marque by adopting a monocoque chassis. This shift allowed for a lower, more compact exterior while actually increasing interior space and refinement. Under the bonnet, the 6.23-litre V8 provided effortless 'adequate' power, paired with a sophisticated self-levelling suspension system licensed from Citroën. While often overshadowed by the Silver Shadow, the T1 is significantly rarer, with only 1,868 units produced across its twelve-year run. It remains a pinnacle of 1960s British luxury, offering a more understated, driver-focused alternative to its Rolls-Royce counterpart.

Bentley T-Series fun facts
- The T1 was the first Bentley to feature a unitary construction (monocoque) rather than a traditional separate body-on-frame design.
- Bentley produced only one T1 for every ten Rolls-Royce Silver Shadows, making the Bentley variant a much rarer find for collectors today.
- The car's advanced hydraulic self-levelling suspension and triple-circuit braking system were built under licence from Citroën.
