About the Audi S6 C4
The C4-generation Audi S6, often called the 'Ur-S6', was the first to carry the S6 badge following Audi's mid-90s rebranding. It retained the iconic AAN 2.2-litre five-cylinder engine from the outgoing S4, delivering a distinctive off-beat warble and robust mid-range punch. With the Torsen-based Quattro system and a choice of manual or automatic gearboxes, it offered sure-footed performance in all conditions. Today, it is highly prized by collectors for its over-engineered build quality and its status as one of the final evolutions of the classic Audi five-cylinder turbo era.
