About the Audi RS4 B9
The B9-generation Audi RS4 Avant marked a significant shift for the nameplate, replacing the high-revving naturally aspirated V8 of its predecessor with a more efficient 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6. While it lost some of the V8's character, the new engine provided a massive jump in torque, delivering 600Nm from just 1,900rpm for effortless real-world pace. The 2020 facelift (often called B9.5) introduced sharper exterior styling, including a wider 'Singleframe' grille and updated LED lighting, alongside a new MMI touch-screen infotainment system. It remains a benchmark for the 'super-estate' category, offering a blend of understated design, high-quality interior, and all-season performance that few rivals can match.
