About the Aston Martin Vanquish
The second-generation Vanquish arrived in 2012 as Aston Martin's flagship super-GT, replacing the DBS. It was the first series-production Aston to feature a body made entirely of carbon fibre, draped over a significantly stiffened evolution of the VH architecture. The AM11-spec V12 engine was revised with variable valve timing and hollow camshafts, delivering a more urgent character than its predecessor. While it retains the brand's signature grand touring comfort, the use of One-77-inspired design cues and a more aggressive chassis setup pushed it closer to supercar territory.

Aston Martin Vanquish fun facts
- The Vanquish features a unique 'Aero Duct' on the rear boot lid, a passive aerodynamic feature that counteracts lift without the need for a heavy active spoiler.
- Its interior was heavily inspired by the One-77 hypercar, featuring a glass-buttoned centre console and 'haptic feedback' touch-sensitive controls.
- Despite being marketed as a 6.0-litre, the engine actually displaces 5,935cc, a nod to the brand's traditional V12 heritage.
