About the Ferrari F430
The Ferrari F430 marked a significant leap for Maranello's mid-engine V8 lineage, replacing the 360 Modena with a 70% new design and the all-new F136 engine family. It debuted the 'Manettino' dial on the steering wheel, allowing drivers to adjust traction and stability settings on the fly, a direct technology transfer from Formula 1. The F430 is celebrated for its visceral, high-revving naturally aspirated V8 and the introduction of the E-Diff electronic differential. While the F1 automated manual was popular when new, the rare six-speed gated manual examples have become highly coveted by collectors for their tactile engagement.
