About the Aston Martin 2-Litre Sports

The Aston Martin 2-Litre Sports, retrospectively known as the DB1, was the first model produced under the ownership of David Brown. It was based on the experimental 'Atom' prototype and featured a Claude Hill-designed 2.0-litre pushrod engine and a sophisticated tubular space-frame chassis. Though its production was brief as the company pivoted to the six-cylinder DB2, it established the iconic three-part grille design that remains a brand hallmark. Only 15 examples were built, making it one of the rarest and most significant collector cars in the marque's history.
