About the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti
The 612 Scaglietti was a landmark for Ferrari, being the first V12-powered model to feature an all-aluminium spaceframe and body. Named after the legendary coachbuilder Sergio Scaglietti, it was designed by Pininfarina to be a genuine four-seater grand tourer, offering significantly more interior space than the 456M it replaced. Its 5.7-litre V12 is mounted behind the front axle to achieve a rear-biased weight distribution, resulting in surprisingly agile handling for a car of its size. While the F1A automated manual was the most popular choice, the rare gated manual versions have become highly sought after by collectors.
