About the Alpina B10 BiTurbo E34
Introduced at the 1989 Geneva Motor Show, the Alpina B10 Bi-Turbo was a $3.2 million engineering project based on the BMW E34 535i. Alpina completely dismantled the M30 engine, fitting forged Mahle pistons, two Garrett T25 turbochargers, and a cockpit-adjustable boost controller. The result was a 360 hp executive express that could outpace a Ferrari Testarossa, yet retained the legendary ride quality and luxury typical of the Buchloe marque. With only 507 units produced, it remains one of the most coveted and significant models in Alpina's history.
