About the Vauxhall Senator B
The Vauxhall Senator B was the brand's final flagship saloon, a lengthened and more luxurious evolution of the Carlton/Omega platform. In 3.0 24v CD trim, it featured the sophisticated 'Dual Ram' intake system, which re-routed airflow at different engine speeds to provide a remarkably flat torque curve. Its combination of high-speed stability and effortless cruising made it a legendary choice for UK motorway police forces. While it lacked the badge prestige of its German rivals, it offered superior equipment levels, including electronic damping control and a digital dashboard, at a significantly lower price point.
