About the Vauxhall Omega B
The Vauxhall Omega B arrived in 1994 as a replacement for the Carlton, continuing the traditional rear-wheel-drive layout that was becoming rare outside of BMW and Mercedes-Benz. The 2.5-litre V6 CD trim sat in the middle of the range, offering a smooth multi-point injected engine and a high level of standard equipment for the era. While it lacked the badge prestige of its rivals, it was praised for its excellent ride quality, spacious cabin, and motorway stability. Today, it is remembered as one of the last great 'big Vauxhalls' before the brand shifted focus toward smaller, front-wheel-drive platforms.
