About the Toyota TF107
Revealed in Cologne in January 2007, the TF107 was designed under Pascal Vasselon, Mark Tatham and Mark Gillan, and its main changes from the TF106B were aerodynamic. The engine moved forward by 100 mm, shortening the tub without shrinking the fuel tank, and the zero-keel monocoque sat 30 mm higher at the front than on the TF106B. Its RVX-07 V8 was based on the engine Jarno Trulli used at the end of 2006, and a new seamless-shift gearbox shared its internals with the Williams FW29. Trulli and Ralf Schumacher scored 13 points, with a best finish of sixth, to end the year behind Williams with the same engines.
