About the Toyota TF105
The TF105 was Toyota's 2005 car, designed under technical director Mike Gascoyne with Gustav Brunner on the chassis and Luca Marmorini on the RVX-05 V10, which had to last two race weekends under the new rules. Jarno Trulli finished second in Malaysia and Bahrain for the team's first podiums, and after three races Toyota were second in the Constructors' standings. Trulli later took the team's first pole at Indianapolis, although both cars withdrew after the formation lap with the other Michelin runners. Ralf Schumacher added a third place in Hungary, and the team scored 88 points for fourth in the Constructors' Championship, its best ever finish.
