About the Suzuki Ertiga

Launched in 2012, the first-generation Suzuki Ertiga was a pivotal model for Suzuki's expansion in South Asia and Southeast Asia. Built on a stretched version of the second-generation Swift platform, it combined the compact footprint and driving dynamics of a hatchback with the three-row utility of a much larger MPV. Marketed as a 'Life Utility Vehicle' (LUV), it offered a monocoque chassis that provided better refinement and fuel efficiency than the ladder-frame competitors of the era. While the 1.4-litre K14B engine was modest, its lightweight construction made it a practical and reliable choice for large families in urban environments.
