About the Suzuki e Vitara

The e Vitara marks Suzuki's significant transition into the battery-electric market, built on the dedicated HEARTECT-e platform. In Ultra trim, it features a dual-motor 'ALLGRIP-e' all-wheel-drive system that includes a dedicated Trail mode to simulate a limited-slip differential for off-road traction. The interior represents a major step up for the brand, featuring a dual-screen digital cockpit and a floating centre console while retaining physical climate controls. It uses a 61kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack, prioritising durability and safety over outright energy density.

Suzuki e Vitara fun facts

  • The e Vitara is the production version of the eVX concept and was developed in collaboration with Toyota, who will market their own version as the Urban Cruiser.
  • Unlike many EVs that rely solely on touchscreens, Suzuki intentionally kept physical switches for the climate control to ensure ease of use while driving.
  • The ALLGRIP-e system can independently control front and rear motors, allowing for precise torque vectoring that improves both on-road agility and off-road capability.
