Sauber C35
Sauber's cash-strapped 2016 car, rescued by a single rain-soaked ninth place in Brazil.
About the Sauber C35
Sauber designed the C35 for 2016 under technical director Mark Smith and powered it with a customer Ferrari 061 power unit. The team's financial problems limited development over the winter, and the car was less competitive than its predecessor in the first half of the season. Marcus Ericsson and Felipe Nasr went without points until the very wet Brazilian Grand Prix, where Nasr's ninth place earned two points. That result lifted Sauber above Manor into tenth place in the Constructors' Championship.
