About the Sauber C23
The C23 was Sauber's 2004 car, a direct evolution of the C22 that took Ferrari's F2003-GA as its model, with work focused on saving weight and testing more. For the first time Sauber received the same Ferrari engine type as Ferrari itself, badged as the Petronas 04A. Giancarlo Fisichella, newly arrived from Jordan, scored 22 points with a best of fourth in Canada, and Felipe Massa added 12 with fourth in Belgium. Sauber scored 34 points and finished sixth in the Constructors' Championship.
