Sauber C19
Sauber's blue-and-cyan 2000 entry, the car that introduced the team's separate front suspension mounting pylons.
About the Sauber C19
The C19 was raced in 2000 by Mika Salo and Pedro Diniz, who had been team-mates at Arrows in 1998, and used a Ferrari-built V10 badged as the Petronas SPE 04A. Its separate front suspension mounting pylons were a step towards the twin-keel layout of the following year's C20. The car proved reasonably competitive without escaping the large midfield, and Salo scored six points while Diniz failed to score. At the Brazilian Grand Prix both cars were withdrawn after repeated rear wing failures caused by the bumpy track, and Sauber finished eighth in the constructors' championship, as in 1999 but with more points.
