About the Rolls-Royce Ghost
Introduced as a more driver-focused and attainable alternative to the flagship Phantom, the first-generation Ghost (Series I) was based on a heavily modified BMW 7 Series platform. It features a bespoke 6.6-litre twin-turbo V12 that delivers massive torque from just 1,500 rpm, ensuring the brand's signature 'waftability' despite its smaller stature. The interior remains a masterclass in craftsmanship, featuring soft-touch leathers, real wood veneers, and the iconic rear coach doors. While it lacks the ultimate presence of the Phantom, its superior agility and modern tech made it the most successful model in Rolls-Royce history at the time.

Rolls-Royce Ghost fun facts
- The Ghost's V12 engine is so quiet at idle that Rolls-Royce engineers had to add a 'Power Reserve' gauge because a traditional tachometer felt unnecessary.
- Despite sharing roughly 20% of its components with the BMW 7 Series (F01), the Ghost features a unique steel monocoque and bespoke air suspension for a superior ride.
- The 2014 model year was the final year for the Series I before the Series II facelift introduced reshaped LED headlights and 'wake channel' bonnet lines.
