About the Renault Latitude
The Renault Latitude was introduced at the 2010 Moscow International Automobile Salon as the brand's flagship executive saloon, replacing the Vel Satis. Developed largely by Renault Samsung Motors in South Korea, it is based on the Samsung SM5 and shares its architecture with the Renault Laguna III. It was designed to appeal to markets in Asia, Russia, and Eastern Europe, focusing on interior space and ride comfort rather than sporting dynamics. While sold in some European markets, it was never officially offered in the United Kingdom or other right-hand drive territories.

Renault Latitude fun facts
- The Latitude features a 'management of air quality' system which includes a dual-mode ioniser and a fragrance diffuser with two different scents.
- In some markets, such as Mexico and the Gulf States, the car was marketed as the Renault Safrane, reviving a nameplate from the 1990s.
- The front seats were available with a pneumatic four-mode massage function, a rarity for a non-premium brand saloon at the time.
