About the Porsche 804
Designed by Ferdinand Alexander 'Butzi' Porsche with engineers Wilhelm Hild and Hubert Mimler, the 804 used a mild steel spaceframe, an aluminium body and an air-cooled 1,494 cc flat-eight, the Type 753, with a horizontal cooling fan on top. It was the first Porsche with disc brakes as standard and the first with rack-and-pinion steering. After a slow start, development and a full race-distance reliability test at the Nürburgring paid off when Dan Gurney won the 1962 French Grand Prix at Rouen, lapping Tony Maggs's second-placed Cooper. A week later Gurney led the non-championship Solitude race near Stuttgart from start to finish, with Joakim Bonnier second. The 804 raced only in 1962, and four were built, the last of which never raced.

Porsche 804 rarity in CarSpot
The Porsche 804 is a Unicorn card in CarSpot, with a rarity score of 100 out of 100. The rarest tier: hypercars, one-offs and cars built in tiny numbers, typically fewer than about 500. A Unicorn card is worth 320 XP.
Each model's tier starts from a 0–100 score based on its value plus its power or production numbers. Once enough players have spotted a model, how often it is spotted can move it up or down one tier. How CarSpot rarity works
Rarity is a collectible game mechanic, not an assessment of real-world scarcity or value.
