About the Oldsmobile Silhouette
The first-generation Oldsmobile Silhouette was part of General Motors' radical U-body trio, famously nicknamed 'Dustbusters' for their wedge-shaped, vacuum-like profiles. Marketed as the premium 'Cadillac of minivans,' it featured a galvanized steel spaceframe and dent-resistant composite body panels. The 3.1-litre LG6 V6 was the standard launch engine, though it struggled with the van's significant weight and aerodynamic drag. Despite visibility challenges caused by the massive dashboard and raked A-pillars, the Silhouette remains a cult icon of 1990s futurism and modular interior design.

Oldsmobile Silhouette fun facts
