About the Nissan Z
The seventh-generation Nissan Z, codenamed RZ34, marks a return to the model's roots by blending styling cues from the 240Z and 300ZX with modern performance. The Performance trim upgrades the base Sport model with a mechanical limited-slip differential, larger Akebono brakes, and 19-inch forged RAYS wheels. Under the hood, the VR30DDTT engine provides a significant power jump over the outgoing 370Z, though the chassis remains an evolved version of the FM platform. It offers a purist driving experience with a standard manual gearbox and a digital cockpit that retains the iconic triple-pod analogue gauges.

Nissan Z fun facts
- The Z's rectangular grille design is a direct homage to the original 240Z, which featured the same shape behind its chrome bumper.
- The rear LED tail lights are inspired by the 1990s Z32 300ZX, using modern 3D lighting technology to replicate the iconic look.
- Nissan engineers included optical turbo speed sensors, allowing the turbines to spin up to 220,000 rpm for maximum power delivery.
