About the Nissan X-Trail T30
The T30-generation Nissan X-Trail was one of the first vehicles to successfully bridge the gap between traditional rugged off-roaders and family-friendly estates. Launched in 2001, it utilised the Nissan FF-S platform and featured a distinctive centrally-mounted instrument cluster to allow for easier conversion between left- and right-hand drive markets. The 2.2-litre dCi diesel engine, introduced during the 2003 facelift, provided the necessary torque for light towing and improved fuel efficiency over the petrol variants. Its selectable 'All Mode 4x4' system made it surprisingly capable off-road compared to many contemporary soft-roaders.
