About the Nissan Leaf ZE1
The ZE1 arrived in 2017 as the second generation of Nissan's pioneering mass-market electric hatchback. A 40 kWh battery and 110 kW motor powered the regular version, while the e+ later offered a larger battery. The smooth, quiet drive and e-Pedal made it easy to use in town. UK production ceased in 2024, and a third-generation Leaf entered production in 2025.
