About the Nissan Kubistar
The Nissan Kubistar was a light commercial vehicle born from the Renault-Nissan Alliance, serving as a rebadged version of the first-generation Renault Kangoo. Launched in 2003 to replace the Vanette, it offered a compact footprint ideal for urban deliveries while benefiting from Renault's established diesel technology. The 1.5 dCi variant, particularly in its higher 82 hp output, provided a balance of fuel efficiency and sufficient torque for light-duty hauling. It was eventually succeeded by the Nissan NV200 in 2009, marking the end of Nissan's reliance on the Kangoo platform for this segment until the later NV250.
