About the Nissan 240Z S30

The Datsun 240Z, known as the Nissan Fairlady Z in Japan, was a revolutionary grand tourer that fundamentally changed the global perception of Japanese cars. Conceived by Yutaka Katayama and designed by Yoshihiko Matsuo, it offered Jaguar E-Type performance and styling for half the price. Its combination of a smooth L24 straight-six, four-wheel independent suspension, and rack-and-pinion steering made it a formidable driver's car. Today, early 'Series 1' examples are highly prized by collectors for their purity and historical significance.
