About the Mitsubishi Proudia S32A

The Mitsubishi Proudia was a short-lived flagship luxury sedan developed in partnership with Hyundai, who marketed their version as the Equus. Unusually for a full-size executive car of its era, it utilised a transverse engine layout with front-wheel drive. Despite featuring advanced technology like laser-activated adaptive cruise control and CCD cameras for blind-spot monitoring, it was a commercial failure in Japan. Production lasted only fifteen months before Mitsubishi's financial crisis and a recall scandal forced its discontinuation, making it one of the rarest modern Japanese luxury cars.
