About the Mitsubishi ASX GA

The Mitsubishi ASX, known as the RVR in Japan and Outlander Sport in North America, was built on the GS platform shared with the Lancer. It was significant for introducing the 4N13 engine, which was the world's first passenger car diesel to feature variable valve timing. The GA generation is noted for its 'Jet Fighter' grille design and practical dimensions that bridged the gap between hatchbacks and full-sized SUVs. While not a performance vehicle, its selectable four-wheel-drive system provided better-than-average soft-road capability for its class.
