About the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series C190
The AMG GT Black Series is the sixth and most extreme iteration of the Black Series lineage, designed to bridge the gap between road cars and the GT3 racer. It features a heavily revised M178 LS2 engine, notable for being the first AMG V8 to utilise a flat-plane crankshaft for improved throttle response and high-end power. The chassis is defined by its aggressive active aerodynamics, including a two-stage rear wing and a manually adjustable front splitter, which helped it set a production car lap record at the Nürburgring in 2020. For collectors, it represents the pinnacle of the front-engined AMG era, offering a raw, track-focused driving experience that is significantly more visceral than the standard GT R.
