About the Ford Mustang GTD S650
The Mustang GTD is the most extreme road-going Ford ever produced, developed in collaboration with Multimatic to challenge European track icons like the Porsche 911 GT3 RS. It features a bespoke widebody constructed almost entirely of carbon fibre, a rear-mounted transaxle for near 50/50 weight distribution, and a sophisticated pushrod suspension system visible through the rear window. The supercharged 'Predator' V8 is equipped with a dry-sump oiling system, a first for a road Mustang, allowing it to sustain high-G cornering. With active aerodynamics including a DRS-equipped rear wing, it was engineered specifically to break the seven-minute barrier at the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
